How Sugar Mama Cakes came to be...

 

My name is Michelle and I'm a mother to 3 beautiful children.

 

When my Son was born in 2009, I don't know whether it was the maternal instincts that took over or something else but I developed a passion for baking. I vowed to always make my children a homemade birthday cake from scratch and never dreamt of developing the love for it that I have. Having 3 kids in 3 years meant for A LOT of birthday cakes and it wasn't long before friends and family were asking me to make theirs too!

I loved doing it so much, that in 2015 I decided to register my business, so I'm council approved and insured.  Everything took off and I haven't looked back! I love pouring my heart into every cake and making sure every customer is as happy with their cakes, cupcakes and cookies as my kids have been with theirs. I started out being entirely self taught, but have since joined the Australian Cake Decorating Network with whom I've taken part in multiple cake crawls and classes.

Since my children were my inspiration to bake and create, Sugar Mama seemed like the perfect name for my business.
